Asha 501’s new picture leaked before 9th may India event. Matches to the earlier leaked images.

@evleaks has now leaked Asha 501’snew picture with all six color devices stacked over each other. As earlier informed, Nokia should unveil Asha 501 in tomorrow’s India event. The latest image matches very well with two earlier leaked renders. By looks of it, Asha 501should have 3.2-3.5 inch display and as earlier found 5 MP camera and as the lock screen notifications indicates may be an AMOLED screen.

So, obviously it is no threat to Lumia low-end as some were apprehensive of. Rather it looks like a way to make customer addicted to colorful and nice looking designs for a price close to $130-$150 in emerging markets, so that when they choose their first smartphone in one or two years down the line it better be that colorful Lumia :P.

Nokia Q1 highlights: Lumia sales 5.6 millions, Net cash €4.5 Billion, Net sales €5.9 billion. Lumia growth to exceed 27% in Q2.

Nokia’s Q1 2013 results are out and two biggest highlights for us are Lumia sales increasing to 5.6 million, the highest ever and Nokia ending the quarter with robust EUR 4.5 billion net cash. Not only this Nokia expects Lumia growth in Q2 to exceed sequential growth of 27% seen in Q1 over Q4 2012. With Lumia 520 and 720 getting launched and Lumia 620 launching in more markets we can understand So, here are the quick highlights.

  • Nokia Group net sales in Q1 2013 were EUR 5.9 billion
  • Lumia Q1 volumes increased 27% quarter-on-quarter to 5.6 million units, reflecting increasing momentum. 2/3 of these 5.6 million Lumias were Lumia WP8 devices.
  • Total smartphone volume was 6.1 million with ASP of EUR 191, which is 3% higher than ASP of 186 in Q4 2012.
